HR Euphemism Drops Living Executive Into Jupiter

Two technicians in padded flight suits look down through an open floor hatch while a supervisor holds a digital tablet beside an empty office desk.

Atmospheric Departure Suites confirmed today that regional director Tarek Al-Mansoor was dropped into Jupiter’s liquid hydrogen mantle while still conscious, following an automated processing error triggered by a human resources email.

Al-Mansoor had received a routine notice stating he was "voluntarily separated from the organisation."

Because the platform's funeral chute uses identical phrasing for terminal sky-cremations, the floor hatch beneath his desk opened immediately.

"He screamed," said Priya Chen. "Our intake logs listed his status as finalised, so we assumed the noise was pre-recorded grief synthesis."

Chen added that ground staff attempted to pause the release sequence, but the override lever required written approval from Al-Mansoor’s direct supervisor, who was currently leading a remote sync meeting.

By the time the meeting adjourned, Al-Mansoor had passed through the lower cloud deck.

Atmospheric Departure Suites confirmed that his desk is already listed for internal transfer.

"We respect Tarek’s prompt transition," said Danica Oduya. "His rapid descent saved three billable hours of exit interview procedure."

Oduya added that the department’s automatic severance system functioned as intended, though minor language updates are scheduled for next quarter.

"The language was clear," Oduya noted. "He is no longer with the organisation."

Funeral technicians have begun recalibrating the drop chute sensors.

No charges were filed.
